Hiro Basic Surf PFS-423HB

The Basic surf is available as three piece 4.2m , 4.5m and 5 metre fixed spool beachcaster rated to cast 100 to 200 grams. Ideal for the beginner or anglers wanting to try the continental long rod, fixed spool reel system for the first time. The total rod weight is just 505 grams and it includes banded spigots, a tubular fixed reel seat, EVA gripsand aluminium oxide guides.

We set of to our local beach loaded up with rods and reels for testing. This rod is an excellent choice and built to a high standard. The first cast was an off the ground style with a Hiro Hamatus flapper rig which was baited with squid and rag worm. Fishing was tough during our session but we had two dogfish and a couple of knocks which the rod showed extremely well. In all this rod performed well and would make a good addition to your fishing tackle collection.
