If you are into fixed spool reel casting from the shore, this is an example of the ultimate continental long rod for hitting maximum ranges using ultra light mono or braids and lead weights between 100 and 250 grams. It is constructed in super modulas radial carbon and fitted with Fuji Sic low profile rings that give the rod tip stability on the rod rest. The Hiro Dream Surf offers superior balance and bite detection which most of the big ringed fixed spool beachcasters lack.

This rod is powerful and aimed at the seasoned angler. Priced around the £350.00 area it is an expensive rod however the quality really does show and it certainly looks the part. In our testing session this rod gave excellent casting results as expected and again handled the obligatory dogfish catch exceedingly well. The rod has low profile guides so can be fished with either a fixed spool or multiplier reel. I am certainly tempted to add this rod to my collection.
